Several Classifications of Solid Buoyant Materials

From a macro perspective,solid buoyancy materials are essentially a solid substance with low density,high strength,and little water absorption.From the internal microstructure analysis of the material,it is a hollow or porous structure material.On the whole,there are three categories:chemical foaming solid buoyancy materials,pure composite foam buoyancy materials and synthetic composite foam materials.
Chemical foaming solid buoyancy material is a foam composite material made by chemical foaming method.Pure composite foam buoyancy material is formed by mixing hollow glass beads with resin,and hollow glass beads account for 60%~70%of the volume.Synthetic composite foam material is composed of composite foam and low-density fillers such as hollow plastic or large-diameter glass balls.
The density of pure composite foam material ranges from 0.36 to 0.65 g/cm³,It can be applied to any depth of seawater.The density of synthetic composite foam materials ranges from 0.275 to 0.560g/cm³,It is generally used in seawater below 4000m underwater.Different materials may vary due to their own characteristics and application conditions.To achieve the best performance of solid buoyancy materials,corresponding solid buoyancy materials can be designed and selected based on application depth,buoyancy requirements,economy,and other conditions,combined with practical applications.
